To deepen the strategic cooperation between Nankai University and The University of Hong Kong, and to further promote the advancement of Nankai’s outstanding graduates to Hong Kong for further studies, The University of Hong Kong held a Master’s program in Climate Governance and Risk Management admission briefing on November 26. The briefing, presented by Dr. An Jiafu and Dr. Ni Danfei, attracted over 200 students from relevant disciplines across the university. Before the presentation, the Dean of the School of Finance, Fan Xiaoyun, and Deputy Secretary of the Youth League Committee, Wang Xiaojuan, had an in-depth discussion with the guest speakers.

Dr. An Jiafu provided a detailed introduction to the program, covering aspects such as the comprehensive curriculum, strong faculty, and broad career prospects. He emphasized that the program focuses on cultivating students’ global perspectives and cross-cultural communication skills, offering a rich learning environment and practical opportunities. Students will learn about the latest developments in climate change science and control methods, gain an in-depth understanding of global climate policies and governance mechanisms, and participate in case studies and simulation experiments to develop practical problem-solving skills for addressing climate change.

Dr. Ni Danfei discussed how graduates of the program can play significant roles in the business, political, and non-governmental sectors, becoming future leaders in tackling climate change challenges and promoting sustainable development. She also provided guidance on interview and resume tips for the application process and enthusiastically answered questions from the attending students.
