On March 5th, more than 50 elementary and middle school students from the second community of Country Garden in Baliyatai Town, Jinnan District, and Tianjin No. 1 High School Jinnan Campus visited the Ningyi Hongdao Study Room at the College of Finance, Nankai University. The students experienced the university campus atmosphere and the rich scent of books.

As a guide for the study room, Gong Jianlei, a 2021 undergraduate student majoring in Insurance, introduced the background of the study room’s establishment, explained the donation philosophy of alumnus Mr. Wang Jingjun, and described the overall design style of the study room. Gong led the students on a tour of the unique collection of books and special artifacts. The students visited the study room’s collection in an orderly manner, admiring Mr. Wang Weitian’s calligraphy work “The Chinese Dream” and Mr. Chen Wuji’s painting “A Caged Bird Yearns for Its Old Forest”.

During free browsing, each student was deeply immersed in the joy of reading, carefully savoring the books and sharing their thoughts.

Shibao Juan, a student from Class 7, Grade 7, Tianjin No. 1 High School Jinnan Campus, said after the tour, “The study room environment is very clean and tidy, with various books and artworks for everyone to browse and appreciate. The learning atmosphere here is very strong. Studying at Nankai University and in this study room is truly a blessing. I will also work hard to get into Nankai University in the future!”

The Ningyi Hongdao Study Room of the College of Finance will continue to enhance its facilities, providing better reading and learning services for the faculty, students, alumni, and partner organizations, and contributing to the creation of a rich “Bookish Finance” atmosphere.
