To broaden the employment channels for the 2024 graduates of our university and to promote high-quality, full employment, the 8th Finance Campus Job Fair was successfully held at the School of Finance on the afternoon of March 28.
This year’s job fair attracted 22 employers, offering over 60 positions for recent graduates with a recruitment intention exceeding 260 people. The positions covered various fields such as finance, insurance, actuarial science, economics, accounting, human resources, business administration, marketing, law, computer science, and artificial intelligence. Hundreds of students from different grades and majors engaged in face-to-face job discussions with these employers.
The job fair was well-organized and bustling with activity. Students actively explored potential employers, while recruiters provided responsible guidance. Both parties engaged in enthusiastic discussions about job positions, internship opportunities, work experiences, and interview processes. At the job fair, Zhang Yao, Party Secretary of the School of Finance, along with Deputy Party Secretary and Vice Dean Gao Shan, warmly interacted with students and employers.
In an interview with student reporters, Zhang Yao expressed that the School of Finance is committed to creating broader platforms for students to pursue careers and integrate into society. He encouraged students to cherish and make the most of every opportunity to engage with society, broaden their horizons, and develop their skills. He also welcomed alumni to return to their alma mater after graduation.
In addition to the recruitment booths, the job fair featured a “Career Service Station,” where HR experts from Sunshine Insurance Group and New Oriental Education Group provided one-on-one resume guidance to job-seeking students, enhancing the effectiveness of communication between companies and students. A “Job Training Camp” themed “Employment: Walking Together” offered a lecture on interview guidance, systematically explaining resume writing strategies, general interview procedures, and practical tips. Additionally, a “Party Member Pioneer Post” was set up where graduate students offered consulting services on career planning and shared their experiences in further education and job hunting with junior students.
“Thanks to the School of Finance for organizing this spring campus job fair. The positions offered by the companies match well with my major, and I genuinely feel the School’s care and concern for graduates,” said a participating student. “By refining my resume by receiving assistance at the “Career Service Station” and having in-depth conversations with company HR, I have experienced a more efficient job-seeking process.”
Participating companies remarked, “This job fair provided us with a platform to have face-to-face exchanges with graduates. The professional quality and enthusiasm of the students from the School of Finance left a deep impression on us. We hope to find talents that match our corporate culture and job requirements, contributing to our company’s talent development and the broader economic growth.”
The School of Finance places great emphasis on employment, fully leveraging the roles of full-time faculty, alumni mentors, and partner companies in collaborative employment education. The School is focused on building a high-quality employment service system, deploying a comprehensive “combination punch” of various employment initiatives. Through the Student Career Development Center, the School has established an “Expertise + Ideological and Political Education” framework for employment education, comprehensively enhancing students’ career development abilities through courses, practical experiences, competitions, and activities. Annually, over 80 career and employment guidance activities are held, including peer experience exchanges, alumni salons, outstanding alumni interviews, company recruitment presentations, workplace expert forums, and job training camps. For ten consecutive years, the School has offered alumni open courses, with nearly 190 alumni guests invited, reaching over 5,000 students. Through the “Enterprise Visit and Job Expansion” initiative, the School has established “employment practice bases” with multiple employers to deepen school-enterprise cooperation and collaborative education.
In the future, the School of Finance will continue to combine “bringing in” and “going out” strategies, building an information bridge between employer needs and student career development. The School aims to accelerate employment efforts, contributing outstanding talent to the construction of a strong financial nation and the high-quality development of the financial industry!
