On March 29, the School of Finance at Nankai University hosted Vice Principal Qi Jinmin and over 150 teachers and students from Tianjin No. 20 Middle School. Zhang Yao, Party Committee Secretary, and Chen Lu, Vice Dean, met with the visitors at the Ning Yihongdao Study Room and the FDT Financial Innovation Lab.

Liu Zitong and Gong Jianlei, undergraduate students from the Class of 2021 and study room guides, provided a vivid introduction to the history, design concepts, and special collections of the Ning Yihongdao Study Room. They organized the visitors to browse the study room’s specialized bookcases and engage in discussions.

Additionally, the visitors toured the FDT Financial Innovation Lab, gaining insights into the School’s disciplinary development, undergraduate programs, and talent cultivation.

After the visit, You Xinwei, a student from Class 5 of the first year at Tianjin No. 20 Middle School, said, “It is a great honor to visit the Ning Yihongdao Study Room at the School of Finance, Nankai University. The study room is filled with the aroma of books, and reading by the window, conversing with teachers and classmates in the sofa area, is very enjoyable. I will work hard to gain admission to Nankai University in the future and follow in the footsteps of Premier Zhou.”

Guide Gong Jianlei remarked that the study room provides a platform for students to practice speaking and enhance their abilities. Through participating in the study room’s management and guiding visitors, she has gained a deeper understanding of the study room’s development and the history of the School, clarifying her mission as a finance professional.

It is reported that the Ning Yihongdao Study Room has established a professional team of guides to share its stories and promote the financial achievements of Nankai University.
