On May 19th, at Nankai University’s 2024 “May Flowers” choir competition, the School of Finance won third place and the Excellence in Organization Award with their heartfelt performance of “Gazing at Snow, Reflecting on Mountains and Rivers.”

With strong support from the college, the 82 members of the Financial School Choir worked collaboratively and dedicatedly over more than a month of intense rehearsals. Their efforts culminated in a splendid presentation at the “May Flowers” event. 

As the flowers of May bloom with splendor and melodies resonate through the air, the choir’s performance was met with enthusiastic applause.

Dressed in azure uniforms, the choir’s four vocal sections harmonized under the direction of their conductor, accompanied by piano, violin, and dance. Their vibrant performance celebrated youth and honored the nation. The enchanting rhythm of “Flying, Flying” seemed to transform into snowflakes drifting across the vast land, painting a lofty picture of the natural world. Their passionate voices showcased the vitality and spirit of Nankai’s financial students, earning widespread acclaim.

On stage, the choir not only displayed their musical talents but also highlighted their unity, perseverance, and youthful vigor. Through their singing, they expressed their aspirations for a better life, wrote chapters of unwavering dedication in musical notes, and embodied the strength of youth. Their spirited performance will inspire more financial students to relentlessly pursue their dreams and contribute to the nation’s prosperity.
