In 2021, the financial international academic elite characteristic class project passed the evaluation and supervision of the school level characteristic class of Nankai University. Full time undergraduate freshmen admitted to Nankai University in 2021 were enrolled into the fourth international financial academic elite characteristic class.

Based on the training program of finance major, the distinguished class project of "International Academic Elite of Finance" focuses on innovation and reform in course teaching content, teaching methods, training standards and academic assessment; makes full use of international top financial talent training resources, serves China's major demand for top financial academic talents, and passes strict academic training. The project tends to expand its international vision and train students into top-notch financial academic talents with broad basic knowledge, solid basic theory, coordinated ability and quality, independent thinking and innovative spirit, strong academic ability and broad international vision.

Training Orientation

The training of students in t the distinguished class project of "International Academic Elite of Finance" focuses on the targeted and strengthened training, especially in the learning of professional knowledge, theoretical depth, academic literacy and international ability. At the same time, learn from the training experience of "one system and three modernizations" of Boling class, combined with the characteristic advantages and development trend of finance discipline, relying on the construction of national first-class undergraduate professional points of finance, strengthen the training of diversified and international financial academic talents, and promote students' international academic exchange and development.

Education Model

The project implements an international and high-level international cooperation education model. Based on the finance curriculum system, the core professional courses are taught in English. Students will receive lectures and academic guidance from international high-end academic experts, including Noble Prize winners and American academicians, as well as excellent international young and middle-aged teachers. Students can choose the PhD courses of finance major of the School of Finance, and have the right to enjoy all kinds of academic resources for PhD students in finance.

■ Multi-channel international academic exchange

Short-term learning exchange: in the summer school of the first or second year of university, students of characteristic classes will be organized and funded to have 4-week learning exchange in world-class universities;

6 months or 1 year of cooperative training: The school gives priority to recommending world-class university exchange opportunities for students of featured classes, and encourages students to think and explore deeply through international academic exchanges.

The college encourages and supports students in featured classes to participate in academic exchanges at home and abroad, and provides financial support and scholarships for round-trip travel, accommodation, and language tests.
